On behalf of United States Transit Funding, Inc., ePassenger© and iPassenger©, we share our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the victims and families of yesterday’s terror attack and hate crime in Orlando, Florida.

Yesterday’s tragedy is a stark reminder that our country must remain diligent in our effort to mitigate all forms of domestic terror, especially those that are hate crimes.

Over the last year, United States Transit Funding, Inc. has been helping the passenger-carrier transportation and transit industry plan, prevent and mitigate domestic terrorism and yesterday’s event is another reminder that we have much more work to do.

In the last year, we have seen multiple domestic terror events at soft targets including a shooting at a Greyhound Bus Terminal in Richmond, Virginia, in San Bernardino, California, in Charleston, South Carolina, and now in Orlando.

Each domestic terror event continues to give us pause as we reflect on how we can do more to help identify bad actors causing mass atrocities and take the necessary steps so that if “You See Something, Say Something”.

Over the next number of months, we are going to continue our outreach for the public and private passenger-carrier transportation sector and provide free security risk assessments for the passenger-carrier transportation and transit industry.

Since the beginning of this year, we have been in contact with our partners at the United States Department of Homeland Security and with representatives that sit on various Homeland Security sub-committees regarding our focused work to demonstrate the need and the program outcomes and objectives for the passenger-carrier transportation industry to plan, prepare and mitigate a domestic terror attack.

Because of the feedback that we have received and because of the empirical evidence that is before us, we will do what is necessary to help you and your company plan, prepare and mitigate a domestic terror event.
