USTF Clients Secure 74% More Funding Than Industry Average

USTF Calls for House of Representatives Appropriations Sub-Committee for Homeland Security To Continue Private-Public Partnership Support

United States Transit Funding, Inc., a Proud Partner of the American Bus Association and the Trailways Transportation System, is pleased to announce that each of its clients were funded through the United States Department of Homeland Security.

Through a comprehensive approach to enhancing passenger and public safety, each of its eight clients received, on average, 74.18% more funding than the remaining 74 grant recipients that were awarded.

“We are pleased with the initial outcomes based on our client grant awards and we look forward to taking the next steps so that our clients achieve the programmatic goals and outcomes based on submitted grant budgets,” said Barry Lewis, Chief Executive Officer of United States Transit Funding, Inc.

“Additionally, we are pleased that this years’ grant awards, despite limited funding, can lead to enhanced passenger and public safety,” Lewis added.

Lewis said that despite only having eight clients for this years’ grant round, they were able to secure 17% of the $3 million in awarded grant funding which led to an enhanced return on investment for its clients while continuing to have an eye toward the future.

“The Over-the-Road Motorcoach industry has a clear and convincing need to have this vital public-private partnership continued,” Lewis said. “We are calling on the House of Representatives Appropriations Sub-Committee for Homeland Security to continue the support of this program while United States Transit Funding, Inc. can demonstrate that this program can mitigate and eliminate domestic terror threats across the homeland.”
